Question: Did you run into any obstacles while researching this book?

A: Interestingly enough, I had set up a meeting with some agents at the Detroit Field Office for the FBI. The public affairs officer had been quite helpful in arranging the meetings, but then the night before I was supposed to visit, I received word from her that someone in their bioweapons department had decided not to meet with me and that they wouldn’t answer any of the questions that I had submitted. I was disappointed, but when she offered to still meet with me, I agreed. In the end, the information that I received from her was quite helpful.
